Bay Area Steelhead Summit

Salmonid Restoration Federation with the support of CDFW, Alameda Creek Alliance, DeSilva Gates Constructions, and the Center for Biological Diversity, will convene the Bay Area Steelhead Summit on November 5 - 7, 2026 in Pleasanton, CA. 

The agenda will highlight conservation strategies for steelhead recovery, including origins of steelhead life history variation; risk mitigation strategies; monitoring and limiting factors; adapting to climate change, drought, floods, and wildfire; post-fire watershed health and planning; balancing habitat and public safety; instream flow needs, permitting, and enhancement; and building support for flow enhancement and groundwater recharge.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: Please complete this form to submit an abstract for the Steelhead Summit General Assembly on November 5. Submissions are due Friday, September 4, 2026.

The event will also include a Plenary session, a evening Poster Session, and concurrent field tours that focused on East Bay monitoring and restoration projects. Full Agenda TBA.
